Theis + Khan mentored two students from the University of the Creative Arts, Canterbury. They spent a few days at our offices and on site to get an idea of the day to day workings in an architect’s office.

The IBP Journalism Awards 2016

The IBP Journalism Awards 2016 judging process started with Soraya on the judging panel for Architecture Writer of the Year and ‘New’ Journalist of the Year. The awards ceremony will take place at the Four Seasons hotel on 1 December.

Architecture Club

Soraya was invited onto the committee of the Architecture Club to discuss ways to promote interest in Architecture while enjoying the company of fellow Architects and those interested in Architecture.

Battery Hill house gains planning approval

Planning approval was gained for a new house on a site in Fairlight near Hastings.

Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects

Soraya was installed as a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Architects at the Goldsmith’s Hall in the City of London.

RIBA Offices: The Hurlingham Club project in the Architects Journal

Theis + Khan have won a limited competition to design the redevelopment of the West Wing at the Hurlingham Club, Fulham. Other contenders were bpr architects, David Morley Architects, Rare Architecture and Walters and Cohen. The Hurlingham Club was founded as a private members club in 1869 providing sporting and social facilities. The Grade II listed Hurlingham club house dates from 1769 with later early 20th century additions designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and an East Wing designed by Squire and Partners. The works will include the redevelopment of the current restaurant and fitness areas.
